Ed Malley, founder of Lawyers Group, was an award-winning journalist and business writer, enjoying a successful career in television broadcasting when a landmark 1977 court ruling upheld lawyers the right to advertise their services. Malley realized the power television could have for lawyers and decided use his experience in television to create ads that would generate new cases and grow law firms.
Malley founded Professional Media Services, Inc. in 1983 to develop custom television commercials for lawyers. The company quickly grew by offering a full-service advertising solution to law firms that included production of television ads and media buying services. The unique focus on the legal industry allowed Professional Media Services to learn what types of ads and programs to use to reach target audiences. Since its founding in 1983, Professional Media Services has produced thousands of successful television spots for lawyers in more than 100 cities across the country.
In 1992, Malley expanded his services to include Lawyers Group, a group advertising solution for personal injury attorneys. He understood not all attorneys could afford a custom advertising solution and used his experience to produce high-quality ads that generated leads at a fraction of the cost.
